Abstract: The study systematically reviews methods of performance appraisal in education to assess their impact on teacher effectiveness and student learning outcomes. This study utilized a systematic review (Strech & Sofaer, 2011) to explore Enhancing Teacher Performance: Results revealed five (5) emerging themes Enhancing Teacher Performance: A Systematic Review of Performance Appraisal methods in Education namely; (1) Standards-Based Teacher Evaluation: (2) Faculty Development Programs: (3)Teacher Evaluation and Performance Feedback (4)Teacher Evaluation and Job Performance: (5) Teacher Evaluation and Professional Development: "Effective teacher evaluation systems, focusing on clear standards and student learning measures, alongside tailored faculty development programs, show promise in improving teacher performance. For improved teacher performance, we may recommend a multi-pronged approach of standards-based evaluations, targeted faculty development, and consistent, constructive feedback.
