| Abstract: |
This study examined the relationship between teachers’ technology integration and teaching effectiveness in Mathematics in selected public secondary schools in Southern Bukidnon. It specifically assessed teachers’ level of technology integration in terms of perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and attitude toward technology. In parallel, teaching effectiveness was evaluated based on subject matter knowledge, instructional planning and strategies, assessment practices, learning environment, and communication skills. A descriptive-correlational research design was employed to determine the extent of the relationship between the two variables. The study involved 43 Mathematics teachers selected through cluster sampling from the municipalities of Don Carlos and Maramag, Bukidnon. Data were collected using adapted survey questionnaires that measured both technology integration and teaching effectiveness. The gathered data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, such as mean and standard deviation, and inferential statistics, particularly Pearson’s correlation coefficient, to examine the relationship between variables.
The findings revealed that teachers demonstrated a high to very high level of technology integration across all measured indicators. Similarly, teaching effectiveness was consistently rated at a very high level in all domains. Furthermore, the results showed a significant positive relationship between teachers’ technology integration and their teaching effectiveness.
Based on these findings, it was concluded that increased use of technology, along with positive perceptions toward it, contributes to improve instructional practices in Mathematics. The study concludes that effective technology integration enhances the overall quality of teaching.
It is recommended the continuous development of teachers’ digital competencies to sustain and further improve teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes in Mathematics.
