Abstract: The study investigated the extent of academic stress and academic performance among third-year BEED students. The impact of academic stress and academic performance on third-year students' cognitive stress, emotional stress, and social stress has become a critical concern. The study aimed to identify the extent of academic stress among third-year students in terms of: cognitive stress, emotional stress, and social stress, determine the level of academic performance of the third year BEED students, assess the significant relationship between the extent of academic stress and the academic performance of the third-year BEED students and analyze coping strategies do students employ to manage academic stress. This study employs a descriptive correlational research design to investigate the correlation between academic stress and academic performance among third-year BEED student. The participants of this study were the batch 2023-2024 BEED third-year students. The survey questionnaire was utilized to assess the level of academic stress and academic performance experienced by the students. Descriptive statistics and Pearson's r correlation were used to analyze the relationship between academic stress and academic performance among third-year BEED students. A negative correlation does not indicate a lack of relationship between the two variables; rather, it suggests an inverse relationship. This finding implies that the respondents may be effectively managing their students' academic stress, which in turn could be influencing their academic performance. Students should prioritize their cognitive, emotional, and social health, avoid excessive pressure, and receive support from parents and teachers.
