| Abstract: |
Community-based tourism involves economic activities in which local residents and community groups participate collectively to both implement and benefit from these activities, ensuring the involvement of external actors, both direct and indirect. Ha Giang is a border province in Vietnam facing various challenges. As a mountainous province with diverse ethnic communities, it holds great potential for tourism development due to its unique cultural and livelihood characteristics. All 11 districts and towns in Ha Giang have the conditions for developing community-based tourism models. However, current models mainly focus on involving local residents in tourism activities without addressing the circular development aspect. Therefore, developing community-based tourism with a circular economic approach can contribute to sustainable tourism development in the province. This article synthesizes and analyzes experiences in developing community-based tourism with a circular economic approach and draws lessons for Ha Giang Province. |
