Abstract: |
This study examines the relationship between the legal framework of teacher training and teacher effectiveness in the Philippines. Given the pivotal role of teacher training in ensuring quality education, this research analyses how existing policies and legal mandates influence educators' competencies and performance. Specifically, it investigates gaps between legal mandates and actual implementation, identifies essential teaching skills and knowledge, and explores the correlation between the legal framework and teacher effectiveness.
Employing a correlational research design, the study will collect data from 150 secondary school teachers in the Maramag II District, Bukidnon, using a multi-stage random sampling technique. Data collection methods will include survey questionnaires and observations to ensure comprehensive analysis.
The findings are expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance teacher training programs in the Philippines by providing insights into the strengths and limitations of current legal frameworks. Furthermore, the study will offer recommendations for policymakers and education stakeholders to improve teacher preparation and continuous professional development, ultimately aiming to elevate the country's education quality.
