Abstract: English has become an essential aspect of our daily lives in today's modern world. It is tremendously significant in every discipline, but it is particularly significant in the context of industrialization and modernization. When compared to earlier times, Vietnamese education has advanced significantly, and many efficient teaching techniques have been established. Different approaches have been used to teach English in Vietnam in order to provide students with an appropriate learning environment as opposed to the monotonous and stressful lessons. Since English is not the Vietnamese people's mother tongue, learning it is difficult for students. There may be several challenges people must overcome when learning English. How to engage students in each lesson is the largest difficulty facing English teachers. In English lessons, warm-up activities have been utilized to draw in students right away. This study included a sample of 10 university teachers. Teachers were interviewed and questionnaires were among the data collection tools utilized. The findings of this study demonstrated that all teachers are in favor of adopting warm-up exercises in their lessons. They also have some commonalities and execution concepts. The factors and reasons listed above encouraged me to carry out a study entitled “Perceptions and practices of warm-up activities by English teachers at a university."
