| Abstract: |
This study focused to develop an innovative Multi-Layered Exhaust Gas Filter (MLEGF) system designed to reduce carbon emissions from public utility vehicles (PUVs) at Valencia City, Bukidnon, and repurposing captured carbon dioxide into usable ink. A quantitative approach was used to determine the CO2 levels to gather data. The research targets PUV emissions, a major contributor to air pollution, which disproportionately impacts vulnerable populations, including children and individuals with respiratory conditions. The system employs direct air capture (DAC) technology to filter emissions at high-density traffic junctions. During a 10-hour test, the device collected 4.4 grams of carbon particles, demonstrating its efficacy. The captured carbon is transformed into ink for refillable markers; this emphasizes its dual function as a pollution mitigator and a sustainable resource generator.
