| Abstract: |
The rapid advancement of digital technology has introduced certain changes to the skill requirements of economists. Working in the field of economics now requires not only professional expertise but also digital competence—including digital skills, knowledge, and an understanding of the nature and role of information technology, opportunities it presents, and associated legal and ethical principles. This study evaluates the impact of digital competence on solving economic issues through feedback from 204 managers—individuals responsible for recruitment or employment in private enterprises located in Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam. Based on this, the paper proposes several solutions for educational institutions to train high-quality human resources that meet the needs of the digital economy. |
