| Abstract: |
This study investigated the relationship between managerial skills, instructional assessment, and the cultural competence of 311 teachers from both elementary and secondary levels in the Department of Education, San Fernando Districts I and II, Division of Bukidnon, during the academic year 2024-2025. The research aimed to determine which variables, either individually or in combination, best predict teachers' levels of cultural competence in the last mile schools in Bukidnon. To analyse the variables and their interrelationships, a descriptive-correlational research design was employed, incorporating measures such as mean, correlation, and regression analysis. Findings revealed that teachers consistently demonstrated a high level of practice in managerial skills, including technical, human, and conceptual skills. Additionally, their instructional assessment practices—both formative and summative—were found to be highly effective. The study found significant relationships between all the managerial and instructional assessment variables and the teachers' cultural competence. Furthermore, among the variables examined, conceptual skills, formative assessment, and human skills emerged as predictors of cultural competence. Of these, conceptual skills and formative assessment were identified as the strongest predictors. |
