Abstract: This study examines the application of Conflict Theory in the educational landscape of Malibud National High School, with a focus on the impact of geographical and socio-economic barriers on students’ English proficiency. Conflict Theory, rooted in the works of Karl Marx, suggests that societal structures create and maintain inequalities, benefiting dominant groups while disadvantaging others. Due to its location in a hinterland area, Malibud National High School faces challenges such as limited access to learning resources, poor internet connectivity, and socio-economic constraints that hinder students' ability to develop English language skills. Using a quasi-experimental approach, this study explores how these barriers contribute to low English proficiency and evaluates interventions aimed at fostering a more equitable learning environment.
