Abstract: Motivation is the internal drive that causes people to act towards attaining their goals. It encompasses the different wants, needs, and desires that enable persistence and effort in the face of hurdles. This study explored students’ motivation and academic performance in mathematics. This study was conducted to Grade 10 students in Saint Joseph of Laligan Incorporated, Purok 11 Laligan, Valencia City Bukidnon last school year 2024-2025. This study investigated the relationship between students’ motivation and academic performance in mathematics. Particularly, the study aims to: (1) determine the level of motivation in terms of; (a) intrinsic motivation; (b) extrinsic motivation; (c) perception in mathematics. (2) know the level of Students’ Academic Performance in Mathematics: (3) distinguish the significant relationship between Students’ Motivation and Academic Performance in Mathematics. Validated instruments were used. Using a descriptive-correlational design, results showed that the level of motivation is Motivated (M). Additionally, the findings revealed that the level of students’ academic performance in mathematics is Satisfactory (S). Furthermore, the findings revealed that there is no significant relationship between students’ motivation and academic performance in mathematics.
