Abstract: |
This study investigated the impact of Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) and Digital HR Transformation (DHR) on the internationalization of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Using descriptive-correlational and regression designs, data were collected from 300 administrators, faculty, and HR professionals involved in internationalization efforts. The research assessed SWP across faculty recruitment and retention, skills gap analysis, and workforce forecasting, and evaluated DHR in terms of digital learning tools, HR analytic, and remote work policies. Internationalization was examined through academic integration, research collaboration, and digital integration. Findings revealed that HEIs demonstrated a highly developed level of SWP (mean = 4.076), indicating strong readiness to adapt to educational changes and sustain institutional growth. DHR initiatives were also rated highly (mean = 4.19), reflecting frequent use of digital tools and data-driven HR practices. The internationalization dimension showed strong engagement (mean = 4.247), with institutions frequently demonstrating capabilities in global collaboration and digital integration. Correlation analysis indicated significant positive associations between SWP, DHR, and internationalization (Pearson coefficients: 0.395–0.540, p < .001). Regression results identified HR analytic for performance evaluation (β = 0.377) and workforce forecasting (β = 0.291) as significant predictors of internationalization, with the model explaining 35% of the variance (R² = 0.350). These results underscore the essential role of advanced HR analytic and strategic workforce management in driving successful internationalization in higher education. |
