Abstract: Singapore’s education system is known for achieving some of the world’s highest results in the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA), especially in mathematics, science, and reading. This ongoing success comes from strong government leadership, high standards for both curriculum and teacher training, and a focus on fairness and innovation. Singapore continues to do well in PISA, even after big challenges like the COVID-19 pandemic, and offers support so students from low-income families can still do well in school. However, the gap between students who do best and those who do less well has grown, which raises fairness concerns. Many Singaporean students also report feeling stress and fear of failure, showing that good grades may come with pressures. This review looks at studies from 2021 to 2025, analyzing what makes Singapore’s system work well and where it could improve. It covers central management by the Ministry of Education, creative approaches for teaching and curriculum, and strong programs for helping both students and teachers develop. Key areas include new ways of teaching, support for student well-being, and programs that encourage life-long learning and holistic growth. The findings show Singapore’s balanced focus on academic strength, fairness, teacher development, and overall student growth, but also highlight the need for ongoing research on student well-being and policy adaptation in different places.
