| Abstract: |
Indonesia is the largest maritime country in the world that has potential resources not only covering capture fisheries, but also has potential in the fish farming sector. This article will discuss the potential for cultivation in the Pangandaran district, West Java, Indonesia. The discussion that will be reviewed is regarding the potential for cultivation and the constraints faced in the area. In 2022 the potential for aquaculture in Pangandaran Regency based on the data obtained there are 5,597 fish cultivators who are members of Pokdakan or fish cultivator groups of 375 groups. The total production that has been obtained is as much as 295.62 tons. In 2023 the total area of cultivated land in Pangandaran will reach 2,362,450 ha. The number of cultivators increased to 6,568 people. The obstacles in aquaculture in Pangandaran Regency are capital, pests and diseases, and also marketing. |
