| Abstract: |
The study analyzes the effectiveness of poverty reduction policy implementation in Thai Nguyen during the 2021-2024 period and proposes solutions to enhance sustainability. The results show that the National Target Program for Poverty Reduction has achieved many accomplishments: the poverty rate has steadily decreased, the phenomenon of re-poverty has been controlled, and effective livelihood models have been developed. However, there are still limitations such as: lack of synchronization in policies, inaccurate identification of beneficiaries, ineffective mobilization of social resources, and weak inter-sectoral coordination mechanisms. Especially, the poverty rate in mountainous districts and areas inhabited by ethnic minorities remains high. The study proposes four groups of solutions: (1) adjusting policies to fit local characteristics, (2) enhancing vocational training linked to market demand, (3) supporting startups and attracting business participation, and (4) improving the monitoring and evaluation system. These findings provide practical arguments for formulating sustainable poverty reduction policies in the future. |
